This weekend we took the trip to Hawkstone Park for the famous Hawkstone International.  Arriving at the track on Saturday afternoon the circuit had taken some serious rain; and with the rain still falling throughout the evening Sunday's race day was set to be a wet one!

Qualifying went good for me putting a lap in early, on a track that was getting better by the lap I managed to end the session in 14th.

Moto one; started good with a top 10 start where I was able to hang for a few laps before settling into 11th position which I brought home to the chequered!

Moto two; started no so great getting a solid start I got landed on during the first lap and remounted dead last.  Being covered in thick sand and coming across a few bike issues from the crash I dug deep to bring home a solid 15th position.

With these two point scoring rides I ended up with 14th overall in MX1 which gave me a place in the Superfinal at the end of the day.

The Superfinal; this was a gruelling 25 minute + 2 lap race in what were the roughest conditions of the day.  The race started solid for me settling just outside the top 10 before making a silly mistake and hitting the ground coming into a fast right handed.  Bending my front end a lot I made it back to the pit box where I pulled in to get straightened out.  Heading back out buried in the pack I dug deep again and pushed to the end . Where I finally managed to climb back up to 16th come the chequered.

There were many of up and downs today; but I'll take the ups and on to next week where we head to Valence International in France.

Big thanks to everyone who supports me!  On to next week!
